I built a tool that turns a list of nostalgic words and a handful of settings into the inside pages of a very-large-print word search book, ready to upload to Amazon KDP. This walkthrough shows what it makes, what it leaves to you, and how to check the result before you publish.

What it makes
Nostalgia Word Search Builder produces book interiors from 1950s, 1960s and 1970s word lists. Each puzzle comes with a period fact underneath, and you can add your own eight-word lists. The entry offer is $17 and includes:
- 90 ready lists, each with a period fact under the puzzle
- A one-click “Remember When” 90-puzzle preset, plus single-decade presets
- Two page sizes: 8.5 x 11 with 28 pt letters, and 6 x 9 with 26 pt letters
- “Talk About It” conversation pages, plus welcome, gift, contents and thank-you pages
- Up to 10 books a month while your access is active; exporting the same book again that month is free
How it works
You start a new book from a preset: pick the trim size, the paper and the note box. Then you see a page preview and an editor for the puzzles and the page text. You can regenerate a puzzle, reorder, swap or delete pages, and add your own lists. When you are happy, you export the interior as a PDF. The app checks the book before it exports.
What it does not do
This is a software tool, not a promise of income. Nothing here guarantees sales on KDP, Etsy or anywhere else, and results vary.
- It does not design your cover at this level. The cover builder is part of the Pro add-on.
- It does not replace your own checking. Read every puzzle and every period fact before you publish. You are the publisher of the book, so the final read is yours.
- It does not skip Amazon’s rules. Preview the PDF in the KDP Print Previewer before you submit it.
Who it is for, and who should skip it
It suits people who want to publish large-print activity books for older readers and prefer starting from finished lists instead of writing hundreds of words by hand. It is a poor fit if you want a different puzzle type, a different theme than the mid-century decades, or a tool that publishes the book for you.
Optional add-ons
After checkout you will be offered optional add-ons, for example Holiday Nostalgia Packs for $9. You do not need any of them to build and export a book with the entry offer. Read each page and decline what you do not need.
